Hello all, the relaunched Echo is proud to share the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation "National Racial Equity Initiative Community Conversation 2024" summer conference.

Black citizens in New Jersey and throughout the country need to be well-informed and actively participate in conversations like this on citizen disenfranchisement so that they can address the pressing issues facing Black citizens rights plus their families protection in our state. Which, in turn, provides a better quality of civic engagement for all New Jerseyeans left out of the loop of change-making information. Black citizens' access to culturally sensitive information plus hidden truths enables citizens to be informed and empowered to make change happen by enforcing or changing the laws in their local communities and state. Please click the link to become a part of the conversation thanks to The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation On Demand Platform. https://www.cbcfinc.org/on-demand/ Conference runs for approximately one hour and forty-five minutes

About the:

Congressional Black Caucus Foundation

"National Racial Equity Initiative Community Conversation 2024

The Atlanta National Race Equity Initiative for Social Justice (NREI) Community Conversation convenes legislators, policymakers, activists, and community members to delve into the fundamental principles of democracy and the enduring quest for voting rights and representation in America. The right to vote is inherently vital in guaranteeing equal participation and representation for all citizens. Yet, historical obstacles and systemic barriers have unfairly affected Black citizens and their communities to a greater extent.

The conversation will delve into the intricate nuances of voting rights and representation through various activities, including a fireside chat, a voting and activism fair, and panel discussions. It aims to provide an in-depth exploration of the historical struggles, significant legislation, contemporary challenges, and the influence of technology in bolstering democratic participation.
