America is currently experiencing an exciting period in its history. We have seen the emergence of America's first female of color presidential candidate leading in the polls and successfully running for office. Plus, effectively communicating to voters across the board with the assistance of lifelong non racist Republicans who simply want the best for American families and the country. Harris and Cheney have demonstrated that women can be diplomatic and formidable plus possess the ability to communicate with the masses effectively. These qualities leave a dignified and confident impression on American voters and the international community.

Per a report by The Washington Post's Tyler Pager shared on October 21, 2024, titled "Harris and Cheney visit swing states to declare Trump unfit for office," Vice President Kamala Harris and former Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney visited three swing states to declare Donald Trump unfit for office publicly. This move was part of a last-minute effort by the Harris campaign to appeal to moderate Republicans and independent voters. Cheney, who held the third-highest position among House Republicans until 2021, expressed that endorsing Harris was an easy decision for her. She wisely suggested that voters could keep their selections private, saying, "And I would just remind people, if you're at all concerned, you can vote your conscience and not ever have to say a word to anybody." Susan Ford Bales, daughter of former president Gerald Ford, also announced her endorsement of Harris on Monday. She joins other notable Republicans, such as former congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-Illinois), in supporting the vice president. At the same time, some prominent GOP figures, including 2012 presidential nominee Mitt Romney, have opted not to endorse either candidate.

Trump has criticized Cheney since she became a prominent opponent of his in 2021. On Monday, Trump used "Truth Social" (a social media platform,) to mock Liz Cheney as a "war hawk," a statement that aligns with his recent attempts to attract Arab American voters in Michigan. Although Trump's name calling suits a portion of his Christian Coalition Republican base. Trump's male bravado name calling can come off as childish and ineffective in diplomatic debates.

Why Women Are Well-Suited for the Role of President.

Women make good candidates for president of the United States for several reasons:

  1. Women bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the table, which can lead to more inclusive and comprehensive decision-making.

  2. Having a woman in the highest leadership position can be a positive role model for young girls and women, inspiring them to pursue leadership roles and political careers.

  3. Women often demonstrate strong communication and consensus-building skills crucial for effective governance.

Promoting gender diversity in politics can contribute to a more representative and equitable government.

Advantages of Women's Leadership in International Representation.

Women leaders representing America in the international community bring diverse qualities and talents, including solid communication skills, empathy, resilience, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. That can be seen as very different from former male Republican presidents of the past. Women often demonstrate a keen understanding of complex social and economic issues and are adept at building consensus and fostering inclusive decision-making. Women leaders usually prioritize issues such as keeping America safe, education, healthcare, and family support programs, reflecting their commitment to the well-being of their communities and the next generation. Overall, women's unique perspectives and experiences contribute to more inclusive and comprehensive decision-making, making them valuable assets in the international arena.

Harris' approach to voters concerned about their children's future has been highlighted throughout her team's campaign. And this resonates more deeply with American parents and voters—a candidate who focuses on children and families' well-being, not the 1%. Securing our borders and leaving a good taste in the mouths of the international community may assist Harris in becoming president. The relaunched Echo, NJ's oldest Black-owned newspaper, "In Concern of the Negro" since 1904, proudly endorses Harris for president. And we look forward to seeing all the young people come out and vote and make positive change happen for Americans near and far.
