REFORM Alliance Policy Expert Britton Smith To Provide Insight On Where Candidates Stand On Criminal Justice Reform As Breaking Polling Confirms it’s a Top Issue for Gen Z Voters of Color
*** Open Press***
Brooklyn, NY (October 19, 2024) – As press and campaigns furiously court the black and brown vote - finally viewed as in-play by the mainstream - The Big PayBLACK, hosted by political columnist and podcast host James R. Sanders, will feature a bi-partisan conversation focused on educating Black and brown voters, the issues that matter, and getting the conversation right regarding the Black and brown vote in this election from community experts themselves, as well as discussing key motivators such as criminal justice reform - and the overall importance of voting in the upcoming election. Recent polling of Gen Z voters by REFORM Alliance confirms that criminal justice reform, including growing the workforce and parole and probation reform are key to winning over young voters of color.
The diverse set of panelists bring a wealth of knowledge and experience, empowering voters with the information they need to navigate the complexities of the upcoming election. By combining perspectives from political strategists, advocates, and community leaders, the panel aims to illuminate the often-overlooked challenges facing marginalized communities. As criminal justice and public safety remain pivotal topics in this election, this panel offers actionable insights for voters and lawmakers alike.
The event will be highlighted by Britton Smith, Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships at REFORM Alliance, who will focus on the need for reforms in the criminal justice system and how voting plays a pivotal role in driving change. The discussion will examine innovative policies that have transformed lives and how both sides of the political spectrum can work together to address these urgent issues.
