The ongoing debate surrounding immigration in the United States continues to evolve, with a significant focus on the support provided to immigrants through various federal initiatives and community organizations to keep families intact and protected. While opinions vary on immigration policy, one element remains clear: the American Federal Government, alongside nonprofits and religious organizations, plays a crucial role in supporting immigrants who navigate the complexities of their new lives in America. The ongoing debate has Americans shaking their heads while awaiting Donald Trump's presidential inauguration on January 20, 2025. This development would result in Donald Trump becoming the 47th President of the United States, a prospect that remains challenging for many Democratic politicians. Despite the fact that a influential portion of the Democratic party have consistently supported both the Southern Evangelical & Christian Coalition "Sanctuary Movement." A political hot topic that both parties seem befuddled about. Despite the fact that both parties gave fodder or birth to the Sanctuary Movement that we know of today .

Per Phil Lewis's "What I'm Reading" Dec 29, 2024 article titled: The Ultimate I Told You So': Black folks sit back and watch MAGA immigration War: "These are white people issues. I'm just gonna sit here and mind my Black-assed business!" Shares this week, a heated social media clash emerged between anti-immigration activists and major tech entrepreneurs on Twitter now referred to as "X" cresiendoed across the nation's T.V. set's as news sources debated on both Musk's and Krishan's preferential work force for the future of America to be insourced. While Black citizen observers are being advised to not get involved and just watch from the sidelines. The controversy started when President-elect Donald Trump appointed Sriram Krishnan, an Indian-born Silicon Valley entrepreneur, to advise the White House on artificial intelligence policy. Far-right provocateur Laura Loomer described the appointment as “deeply disturbing,” highlighting Krishnan’s advocacy for increasing “skilled immigration” into the U.S.

Loomer’s remarks sparked a multiday firestorm concerning immigration in the tech industry and the H-1B visa program, which permits businesses to employ specialized foreign professionals. Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy defended the H-1B visa program and, in doing so, offended many Americans. Per Elon Musk social media platform on X shares that, Musk stated that “There is a permanent shortage of excellent engineering talent. It is the fundamental limiting factor in Silicon Valley,” Ramaswamy, who was praised by MAGA supporters last month after Trump appointed him and Musk to lead the Department of Government Efficiency, exacerbated the situation by attributing America’s failure to produce top talent to its culture, angering the MAGA base.

As Ramaswamy and Musk claim that foreign workers brought in from other countries are more intelligent than American workers. May have opened a door that Americans need to investigate plus better understand the relationship that American Special Interests groups have with foreign countries Special Interest Groups over the past 40 years. Including how non-profits and special interest groups here in America have influenced the U.S. government to divert taxpayer dollars to fund education in other countries for a very long time. Consequently, this has coincided with rising costs of higher education for Americans and decreased funding for public schools. That may prove that Americas purposeful diversion of funds to educate outside countries citizens for all these years might be an reality that would produce educated foreign workers who for instance received all the answers to the test to be more knowledgeable then American citizens who have to save and scrap to acquire higher education resources, because of an unfair racist economy that's still all hung up on oppressing as many Black citizens as possible. Despite the fact that systematic racism also adversely effect other economically struggling White and Brown Americans communities as well.

According to additional research by The Education Law Center, America's divestment in its citizens educational resources post the-Civil Rights Movement has led to the possibility of American children experiencing a four-day school week due to the absence or diversion of funds that should support public schools in the U.S. without a problem except for the fact that the funds are missing. This isn't new. This diversion of American tax dollars underscores the motive behind The Sanctuary Movement and the N.A.A.C.P.'s 1968 strategic move to shift focus away from Black citizens' crisis issues immediately after the murder of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King. This has left a vulnerable population of American citizens, governmental resources diverted to not make MLK's dream come true fully for Black citizens. But has worked for illegal or insourced immigrants entering America with their children who show no signs of reciprocity towards Black Americans smoothly. In a sense the diversion of American tax dollars could be seen as the old saying "robbing Peter to pay Paul." Or should I say robbing Peter to pay Pablo & Pathrus. Below are a few examples of how American citizens and their tax dollars support insourced immigrants well being and protection from deportation.

Federal Programs for DREAMers

One notable aspect of federal support relates to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which offers protections to individuals brought to the U.S. as children, often referred to as DREAMers. Established in 2012, DACA allows eligible DREAMers to apply for work permits and deferred deportation for renewable two-year periods. According to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, as of 2022, approximately 580,000 individuals were enrolled in the program. And now as of 2024 an additional 834,877 unvetted immigrants are supported by the DREAMers federal program. This measure reflects the federal government’s recognition of the unique challenges faced by these young immigrants and a commitment to integrating them into American society. https://www.americanimmigrationcouncil.org/research/deferred-action-childhood-arrivals-daca-overview

Support from Nonprofit Organizations & Lobbyist:

Numerous nonprofit organizations have arisen to bridge the gap for unvetted immigrants in America, often filling roles that aid in education, legal assistance, and community integration. Organizations such as the United We Dream Network and the National Immigration Law Center focus on advocacy and resource provision for immigrant communities vetted or not. These nonprofits often work in collaboration with government & state programs to ensure that immigrants can access essential services, housing, and legal representation. Non-profits provide an open door access for both unvetted plus vetted immigrants to secure scholarships, mentoring opportunities, small business grants, grantwriters, and workshops, these organizations reinforce the notion that community support is vital in fostering successful immigrant experiences.

Evangelical Churches Step In:

In addition to nonprofit organizations, many evangelical churches across the United States have taken proactive steps to support unvetted immigrants. These congregations often serve as welcoming spaces where immigrants can find community, spiritual guidance, and monetary resources for successful integration. Programs may include English language classes, job placement services, home-ownership opportunities, and emergency assistance for families in need. The Evangelical Immigration Table, a group of evangelical leaders, supports immigration reform and significantly influences churches across the country, including Black churches by encouraging them to prioritize and financially support immigrant communities. However, this focus often leads to the neglect of critical issues affecting Black citizens, such as homelessness, the mass incarceration of Black individuals due to excessive fines for minor offenses, and ongoing cases of police brutality.

It's quite a coup d'état.  The intersection of these efforts highlights a growing recognition within American society that supporting unvetted immigrants not only benefits the individuals directly involved but also enhances the broader community. Many churches and nonprofits frame their mission around humanitarian principles, emphasizing the importance of compassion, dignity, and respect for all individuals seeking a better life. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/coup%20d%27%C3%A9tat)

In Conclusion

As the conversation around immigration continues to shift, the role of the federal government, alongside nonprofits and community organizations, remains pivotal in supporting unvetted immigrants in America. Through initiatives like DACA and local community state, church, nonprofit support systems, with the assistance of many foreign special interest groups that depend on American tax dollars to be sent to invest into their citizens education plus well being reflect a collective commitment to creating an inclusive society with the blessing of the United States Federal Government. Post the assassination of Rev Dr. Martin Luther King in 1968.

Balancing security concerns reflected by MAGNA supporters with compassion will continue to be a challenge. For those navigating the complexities of the immigration process, or if you feel stressed as a citizen remember the combined efforts of the federal government, nonprofits, and community organizations provide vital resources and support, ensuring that the journey towards a new life is met with guidance and pre-established protections that the United States of America has provided for immigrant communities for many years. Thanks to The Christian Coalition 501C4, Southern Evangelical Sanctuary Movement and Bloomberg's New American Economy friends nationally and internationally.
